Juanita is a disciple of Jesus Christ serving the body of Christ as Deacon and Music Ministry Worship Leader at my local church in NYC. In addition, she serves as the Literacy Coach/Tutor for the LSAH Afterschool Academy at the Faith @ Work Christian Church and is a speaker for women’s conferences that are designed to heal the spiritually broken throughout the United States and soon for women in Costa Rico.
Currently, Juanita is pursuing the Doctoral Degree of Organizational Leadership at Grand Canyon University and is looking forward to graduating in May 2021 with the earned doctorate. Juanita graduated from Bank Street College of Education in New York City with an earned ED.M.in Educational Leadership and an Advanced Degree in School District Leadership. She is also a graduate of Herbert H. Lehman College with an earned M.S. Ed. in Childhood Education and a Bachelor’s in Fine Arts this makes her a lifelong learner.
Juanita is on hiatus from serving as an Adjunct Instructor for Literacy and Assessment at Herbert H. Lehman College. However, she serves at the NYCDOE as a Technology/S.T.E.A.M. Instructor for a Middle School in the South Bronx.
In Juanita’s “spare” time she enjoys drama, photography, (making others laugh,) listening to music, creating designs, listening to audible books, editing books and dancing.
